Our Commercial service is customised because every project is unique. We work with you, detailing the specification your project really needs to make it the best it can be – whilst adopting a ‘right first time and on-schedule’ attitude.
Working with AluK, you will have the support of a dedicated project consultant team from design through to installation, who will advise on legislation and provide guidance throughout the RIBA Plan of Work.
Driven by design
Our dedicated R&D and technical teams use the latest 3D and 2D CAD technology software. This is linked to prototyping machines that ensure we are able to quickly and efficiently realise your vision, saving you valuable time and money on the project.
Our project team are able to provide BIM support covering in-house designed REVIT and IFC Objects. We can offer expert guidance on buildability, thermal and acoustic project calculations, budgeting and estimating. We can also help simplify your specifications in NBS, and aid in learning and development through a range of RIBA-approved CPDs.
Testing
We’re one of the very few UK systems houses to have design, development and testing facilities all under one roof, with two large scale UKAS accredited rigs at our Chepstow HQ.
A 5m wide x 6m high weather test rig lets us test windows, doors and curtain walling elements to see how they will perform in the worst of the UK weather – from window loading and safety gusting to air and water penetration. We can test to all the elements of the PAS24 security test and cycle test hardware to make sure it’s more than up to the operational forces of our sliders and bifolds.
